After 40 years old, your metabolism slows down. Your best bet for controlling your weight and staying fit is eating in moderation, which is a big help. Don’t deprive yourself from eating your favourite foods, that will only make you hate controlling your weight.
Do some activities that you think are fun, don’t think of exercise as a punishment. It’s supposed to make you feel good! A good way to lose weight is yoga or pilates.
It really makes you feel good. If you want, you can keep track of your eating, but if you forget – don’t sweat it. Just make sure that you don’t eat too big portions, get regular exercise and you’ll be fine.
There’s a great kit that helps you control your weight and keep fit as you age. Fit Over 40 is a guide for lifestyle choices, exercise regimes, and diet plans – It is a great tool to keep you motivated and on track. Visit the Fit Over 40 site for more info.
Good luck,
Pete.
